How to make bread pakoda at home

Ingredients:

For Batter:
  1. Gram Flour (Besan) – ⅓ Cup
  2. Water- ¼ Cup
  3. Salt – As Per Taste
  4. Red Chilli Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  5. Garam Masala – ½ Teaspoon
  6. Turmeric Powder – 2 Pinches
For Aloo Mixture:
  1. Oil – 1 Tablespoon
  2. Jeera/Cumin seeds – 1/2 Teaspoon
  3. Hing – 1/4 Teaspoon
  4. Potato – 2 (Medium-sized, Boiled and Mashed)
  5. Turmeric Powder –1/2 Teaspoon
  6. Red Chilli Powder –1/2 to 1 Teaspoon
  7. Amchur/Raw Mango Powder – 1/2 Teaspoon
  8. Dhaniya/ Corriander Powder – 1 Teaspoon
  9. Salt – As Per Taste (1&1/2 Teaspoon)
  10. KasuriMethi– 1 Teaspoon
  11. Garam Masala Powder – 1 Teaspoon
  12. Finely Chopped Coriander– 1 Tablespoon
  13. Bread Slices

Method:

For Pakoda Batter:
  1. Take all the (Batter) ingredients in a bowl to give it a nice mix so there are no lumps left in it.
For Aloo Mixture:
  1. Take some Oil in a pan and heat well.
  2. As soon as the Oil is hot, add Jeera, Hing, and mashed Potatoes(one-by-one) to the pan.
  3. Give the mix a nice stir.
  4. Add Turmeric powder, Red Chilli powder, Coriander powder, Garam Masala powder, Salt, and crushed Kasuri methi to the mixture and mix them well.
  5. Switch off the flame after 2 minutes of cooking,
  6. Top it with some chopped Coriander.
For Assembling the dish together:
  1. Apply a thin layer of Aloo Masala (mixture) on a bread slice. Spread it evenly on all corners.
  2. Cover it with another bread slice and make it look like a Sandwich.
  3. Cut the bread slices diagonally from the center.
  4. Dip the sandwich into the Pakoda batter and coat it with the batter generously (and evenly).
  5. Deep-fry these bread sandwiches in hot oil until it turns golden brown.
  6. Take it out on an absorbent paper. Dice in into 2 parts and serve it hot with your preferred sauce/chutney.
